The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I am married to Alice LePrell and will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on June 10, 2009. I came out to WA to serve as a supply officer at Ft. Lewis as part of my USA ROTC obligation in Dec.,1972, and really liked the area. I enjoy the green all year, the outdoor life of hiking, fishing for salmon, camping, and the Seattle arts, theatre, and nightlife. The state is very conscientious about the environment. We have a very strong PSU alumni club here that gets together to watch all the Nittany Lion football games, various other athletic events, volunteer for various charitable events to include the Bobby Ingram Foundation and raise funds for the university. I always go back to State College to watch at least one football game every year, but most of the time more than one, and it is great to be part of the Nittany Lion spirit. Since I ran track and cross country from 1968-1972 at the university, I will hook up once in awhile with the cross country team and run a few miles with them. I still run 20-25 miles per week and exercise daily. Harry Groves (a great coach) was my coach when I ran here and was still the coach until just a couple of years ago. He is a legend in the track world like (almost) Joe Paterno is in football. He was at PSU for over 40 years. I've really enjoyed my time at Penn State and am very proud to be a PSU graduate. It's a great University! Go Lions!
